6 Pollies Go to McCarthy Marcus Hennings

McCarthy Marcus Hennings won six awards at the 2001 Pollies ceremony held recently in Washington, DC. The American Association of Political Consultants hosted the event.

MMH took a First Place in the “Candidate: U.S. Senate” category for a radio spot produced for Montana Senator Conrad Burns. The spot, “Wrestler,” was a humorous ad citing the lengths Burns’ opponent took in attacking the popular Montana Senator.

In the “TV: Independent Expenditure - non-Candidate” category, MMH won a Pollie for a national TV spot for the Coalition to Protect America's Health Care. The spot, entitled "Getting Worse," warned the American public of the worsening crisis facing America’s hospitals.

MMH also picked up two Pollies for work done for Kentucky Congresswoman Anne Northup. In the “Candidate: Congressional” category MMH won for the radio spot “Actors.” MMH was cited with an honorable mention in the same category for a Northup TV "Wages."

And, for Senator Conrad Burns, MMH picked up two more: a second place in the “TV: U.S. Senate” category for “Women,” a spot attacking Burns' opponent for misleading information on the cancer drug Tamoxifen. And a third in the “Radio: US Senator” category.
