MMH Ad Wins a Top Award at 2005 Pollies

February 3, 2005

McCarthy Marcus Hennings was a big winner at the 2005 Pollie Awards, including a “Gold” Pollie in the presidential TV ad category. The event was hosted by the American Association of Political Consultants.

“Ashley’s Story” was produced for the 527 group, Progress for America Voter Fund. The :60 spot won the “Gold” in the highly competitive IE Presidential category.

“Ashley’s Story” is the most widely seen, and one of the most effective political ads in history. More than $16 million was spent in ten target states and on national cable, with the ad running most heavily in Ohio.

It tells of a chance encounter at a campaign rally between President Bush and a 15 year-old girl whose mother died at the World Trade Center.

MMH also received Pollie Awards for “Debate” and “Anne,” campaign commercials for Congresswoman Anne Northup (KY-03).
