In 1984,  Senator Mitch McConnell became the first Republican to win a statewide race in Kentucky in sixteen years.  Larry McCarthy worked on the race for Ailes Communications and co-produced the famous “Bloodhounds” TV spots.

Since then, the people of Kentucky have re-elected Senator McConnell three times. 

As the Senate Minority Leader,  Senator McConnell has become a high-value target on the Democrats’ “hit list” for 2008.  Special interest groups and the Democratic Party have pledged to spend millions to defeat him.   

But Senator McConnell is known to run the best and toughest campaigns in the country and 2008 will be his best yet.
