Rob Hennings is a strategist, writer and producer at McCarthy Marcus Hennings, Ltd.
In 2005 and 2006, Hennings produced national TV ads supporting the confirmations of Supreme Court Justices John Roberts and Samuel Alito. Hennings also produced independent expenditure ads supporting Governor Schwarzenegger’s agenda for California. Throughout 2005 and 2006, Hennings created numerous print and radio ads pushing deployment of Verizon’s FiOS high-speed Internet and TV service.
In 2004, Hennings created the ad campaign for Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski’s historic win. Murkowski beat popular former governor Tony Knowles in a race heavily targeted by Democrats.
Hennings produced ads for Progress for America Voter Fund and helped produce “Ashley’s Story,” the most widely seen political ad in history. More than $16 million was put behind the ad in 10 states and on national cable.
Hennings wrote and produced ads for the Republican Governors Association in California and Kentucky in 2003. In 2002, Hennings wrote and produced ads for the successful re-elections of Senator Susan Collins and Congressman George Nethercutt in 2002.
Hennings produced ads for Oklahoma’s successful Right to Work initiative. Outspent by Labor 3:1, the campaign generated a record turnout for a single-issue election in Oklahoma. And in 2000, Hennings helped with Senator Conrad Burns’ tough re-election bid in Montana, the re-elections of George Nethercutt, Anne Northup and Jim Nussle and Darrell Issa’s first election to the House.
Hennings also worked on public policy campaigns for the Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care, the Coalition to Protect Americans Now and the Pew Center on Global Climate Change. He produced strategic communications for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the National Geographic Society, Amtrak, The Pew Charitable Trusts, Americans Discuss Social Security and Amgen -- and produced TV programming for Amtrak and the NFIB.
Hennings is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
